Bob Lincoln, 78, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at his residence.
Born May 22, 1932, son of the late Elmer "Red" and Grace Underwood Lincoln, he was an elementary school teacher and elementary principal in Columbia Public Schools. He served as principal at Douglas Russell Boulevard and Eugene Field, from where he retired in 1989. Bob was a Korean War veteran and graduated from the University of Missouri. He served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia. He loved children and greatly appreciated his faculty. His love for children carried over to his nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Many wonderful vacations were shared with his nephews.
He was united in marriage to Mary Campbell on June 21, 1959, in Holcomb, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary; a sister, Jean Lincoln McCormick, of Holcomb; nephews, David McCormick and Dennis McCormick, both of Holcomb, and Jeff McCormick, of Kennett; great-nephews, Justin McCormick, Dylan McCormick, and Paden McCormick, all of Holcomb, and Jaxon McCormick, of Kennett, and great-nieces, Morgan McCormick, of Holcomb, and Emma McCormick, of Kennett.
Memorial services were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 24, at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia.
Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 31, in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
