Larry Joe Hollywood, 56, of Kennett, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at National Healthcare in Kennett.
Born Oct. 21, 1953, in Newbern, Tenn., to Betty Vaughn Hollywood, and the late Dossie Hollywood, he was in the construction business. He confessed in Christ at an early age at the Pleasant Grove Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Betty Nell Vaughn Hollywood, of Kennett; seven children, Annie Johnson, of Malden, Mo., Terersa Johnson and David Johnson, of Hot Springs, Ark., Larry Joe Hollywood, Jr., Lawanda Johnson, and Pricilla Johnson, all of Caruthersville, Mo., and Questimon Campbell, of Steele, Mo.; three brothers, James Hollywood, Jerry Hollywood and Diane Gibson, all of Caruthersville, and Doisey Hollywood, of Kennett; seven sisters, Kay Hill and Tommy Morris, Mary Gray, and Sheila Hollywood, all of Caruthersville, Patricia Hollywood and Steven Thompson, Barbara Hollywood and Randy Carter, Angela Hollywood and Comsia Hollywood, all of Kennett; one aunt, Arlene Holt and Glen Holt, of Steele; three uncles, Jerry Gene and Virginia Vaughn, of Newbern, Tenn., Jimmy and Wilma Vaughn, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Charles Vaughn and Debbie Watson, of Obion, Tenn.; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Gray, of Caruthersville; one sister-in-law, Dorthy Hollywood, of Caruthersville; one son-in-law, Ivoy Whiters, of Malden, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dossie Hollywood, and brothers, Ellis and Michael Hollywood.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, July 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Bro. James Bruce Hollywood officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Sammuel Hollywood, Jr., Leon Hollywood, Jimmy Gray, Randy Carter, Theodis Haggins, Steven Thompson, and Antonio Taylor.
