Ara Lea Morgan, 80, of Senath, Mo., died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Heritage Gardens in Senath.
Born April 1, 1930, in Wrightsville, Ark., daughter of the late William Edgar and Chioia Easter Scroggin Dowdy, she was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leachville.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Gary Crites, of Seymour, Tenn.; two brothers, Dennis C. Dowdy and wife, Deborah, of Readyville, Tenn., and Terry M. Dowdy and wife, Patti, of Felda Fla.; five sisters, Francis B. Morgan, and the late Darrell, of Clarksville, Tenn., Pat R. Sasso and husband, Robert, of Ocalo, Fla., Betty S. Parker, and the late Danny, of Pemberton, W.V., and Linda J. Smith and husband, Lester J., and Brenda S. Lane and husband, Donal, all of Senath; one granddaughter, Reagan Wilder and husband, Eddie, of Seymour, and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Genesis Wilder, both of Seymour.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Noel "Bud" Dowdy and Johnny R. Dowdy, and one sister, Sonja Burcham.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 27, in the Senath Cemetery with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
