Judith Anne "Judy" Bowlby passed away in Kennett on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Born on Sept. 4, 1942, Judy was raised in Olney, Ill. She spent the last years of her life as a resident of Heritage Nursing Manor in Kennett.
Survivors include three brothers, John and wife, Kris, of Malden, Mike and wife, Sachiko of Fayetteville, N.C., and Chris and wife, Judy, of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Edward Bowlby, and her mother, Evelyn Carter Bowlby.
Judy earned a bachelor of science in music from Judson College in Elgin, Ill., and a master of science in music from Central Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.
During her life, Judy was a school teacher, a church business secretary, and editorial secretary in the Division of Mathematics and Geography at the U.S. Air Force Academy and a supply analyst at Fort Carson, Colo.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Malden.
A memorial service is being planned in her hometown, Olney, Ill.
