She was born March 19, 1943, to Willard M. Bracken and Josie "Toots" Fish Bracken, who preceded her in death. Shew as also preceded in death by one brother, John Hobert Edward "Eddie" Ray and one nephew, John Dalton "Little John" Ray.
In life she was a dispatcher for Honeywell Security Alarm Company in St. Louis, Mo., as well as a homemaker before she moved to Kenentt to retire. Maggie moved to Hermitage in April of 2009 to be closer to her family.
Survivors include a son, Donald "Donnie" Wayne Baily, of St. Louis; two daughters, Christian Lynn Schaefer, of Hermitage (Nemo), and Carole Jo Roarbach, of Pittsburg, Mo.; three brothers, Willard "Buddy" Bracken, of Tuscon, Ariz., and Gary and Larry Bracken, both of St. Louis; six grandchidlren, Elsa, Donna, P.J. Schaefer, Megan Seager, Savannah "Bailey" Barrett, and Taylor Bailey;four great-grandchildren, Harley and Alexzandra Hatch, Gabreal Seager, and Elizabeth Schaefer; lots of nieces and nephews, and a handful of friends that were more like family than friends, Jackie "Moody" Highland, Sharon "Watson" McCrory (before and after husband), Ruthann Bower (cousin by blood, friend by choice), and Andriea Aiches (teen who was more of a daughter of her heart, but still a steadfast friend).
What more can a woman ask for other than family, friends, a good book, a cold Dr. Pepper, George Strait on the radio, and to see the face of God at last. Mom you will be remembered.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 10, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Family and friends will be officiating.
