Tony Walter Bruton , son of the late W.W. Bruton and Edna Norman Bruton, was born Jan. 1, 1941 in Kennett, and departed this life Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 21 days.
Tony married Betty Jean Usrey on April 30, 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bruton of Kennett; one daughter, Tonya Morgan and her husband Shawn, of Senath, Mo.; three grandchildren, Hayley, Ethan and Hannah Morgan; two brothers, Clinton Bruton, of South Haven, Mich., and Larry Bruton, of Norman, Ark.; two sisters, Mary Oliger, of Bragg City, Mo., and Reba McMillan, of Jeffersonville, Ind., and other relatives and many friends.
Tony was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Rachel Bruton; one brother, William Bruton and two sisters, Glada Michael and Norma Rhamey.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. 9 p.m., today, Thursday, June 24, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 25, at the First United Pentecostal Church with Revs. Don Sheerin and Eric McGruder, and Bishop Carroll McGruder officiating.
Burial will be follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Charles McMillan, Dennis Autry, Jim Moody, Wilburn Jackson, Kevin Casey, Chris Johnson and Steve Doss.
Honorary pallbearers are Bob Holder, Wayne Shelton, Bill Masters and Carlos Jackson.
