Virginia Lovelace, 87, of Malden died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was an elementary school teacher, a member of the Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.
Born in Gibson on Sept. 20, 1922, she was the daughter of the late W.D. and Cora (Powell) Davis. On Sept. 27, 1944, in Piggott, she was united in marriage to Ralph Martin Lovelace, who preceded her in death on June 6, 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Lovelace of Austin, Texas; one niece, Carol Faye Matthews of Ark.; one brother-in-law, D. J. Lovelace of Elsberry, Mo., several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service was held Monday, June 14 with Reverend O.H. Brooks officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
