Maxine Stoker, daughter of the late John W. Fisher and Mary Myrtle Davis Fisher, was born June 9, 1924 in Hornersville, Mo., and departed this life Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the age of 86 years and 3 days.
Maxine married A. P. Stoker who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1998.
Survivors include, two sons, John Stoker and his wife Virginia, of Kennett, and Vernon Stoker and his wife Annette, of Senath, Mo.; one daughter, Mary Davidson and her husband Donnie, of Senath; four grandchildren, Toby Stoker, Dawn Cowart, Shawna McMinn and Cheryl Newman; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Fisher, of Arizona; two sisters, Alice Freel, of Senath, and Pearl Pendley, of Arizona, and other relatives and many friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Vernon, Layman and Willie B. Fisher, and two sisters, Ora Bowen and Mae Keating.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 15, at The Bridge in Kennett with Rev. Wayland Tom officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
