Winnie Lean Vancil, 80, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, May 31, 2010, at her residence.
Born Aug. 26, 1920, in Holcomb, Mo., daughter of the late Jacob Martin and Frankie Hicks Reel, she was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Holcomb. Winnie loved the Lord, her church, her family and her many friends.
On Dec. 24, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married Jack Loyd Vancil, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2007. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Chrystal Miller and Stella Wright, and one brother, Commodore Reel.
Survivors include two sons, Joe W. Vancil, of Columbia, Mo., and Marty Vancil and wife, Gentry, of Campbell; three granddaughters, Jody Vancil, Anna Beth Vancil and Elle K. Vancil, and one sister, Dott Watson, of Holcomb.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 1, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jerry Darby and Tim Abanathy officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
