Bonnie Sue Gargas, daughter of the late Odell Cleveland Brice and Mary Hughes Bingham Brice, was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Corinth, Miss., and departed this life Monday, May 24, 2010, at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 26 days.
Bonnie was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ.
She married Paul S. Gargas, Sr., on Jan. 18, 1941. Paul preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2008. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Brice, and one sister, Mary Jane Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Paul S. Gargas, Jr., of Kennett, and David Gargas and his wife Janet, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Ed Gargas and his wife Tina, of Dexter, Mo., Rob Gargas and his wife Toni, of Kansas City, Mo., Lorrie Davis and her husband Mark, of Piggott, Ark., and Stephanie White and her husband Phillip, of Steele, Mo.; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Auther T. Brice, of Blaire, Neb., and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 27, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, at McDaniel Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Jimmy and Bobby Brice, Ted Gargas, Mike Hunter, Rick Gore and Dennis Moore.
Honorary pallbearers are Nancy Faulkner, Velma Storey, Arlice Hook, Mary Jane Pearman, Bobby Simmons, Bob Winston, Dub Houston and Brady Robinson.
