Ruby Jewell Shearer, 84, of Campbell died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Malden Nursing & Rehab in Malden.
She was homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Dexter.
Born in Parma on June 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arvil and Ethel (Hickson) Wallace. On Aug. 5, 1943, in Kennett, she was united in marriage to Brice Shearer, who preceded her in death in 1963.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dale Shearer; one daughter, Joyce Ward; and four brothers, Leman Wallace, Paul Wallace, Billy Wallace and Bud Wallace.
Survivors include two sisters, Floella Nichols of Malden and Shirley Archer of Arizona; one brother, Charles Wallace of Campbell; five grandchildren, Brian Shearer and wife, Tami, of Kennett, Paul Shearer and wife, Traci, of Kennett, Tammy Rawlings and husband, Mike, of Malden, and Pam Burrow and Tracy Burrow, both of Malden; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 25, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services followed immediately in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Richard O'Neal officiating. Interment was in Liberty Cemetery at Caruth, Mo. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
