Ruby Jewell Shearer, 84, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Malden Nursing & Rehab in Malden, Mo.
Born June 1, in Parma, Mo., daughter of the late Arvil and Ethel Hickson Wallace, she was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ in Dexter, Mo.
On Aug. 5, 1943, in Kennett, she married Brice Shearer, who preceded her in death in 1963. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dale Shearer; one daughter, Joyce Ward, and four brothers, Leman, Paul, Billy and Bud Wallace.
Survivors include two sisters, Floella Nichols, of Malden, and Shirley Archer, of Arizona; one brother, Charles Wallace, of Campbell; five grandchildren, Brian Shearer and wife, Tami, and Paul Sherarer and wife, Traci, all of Kennett, and Tammy Rawlings and husband, Mike, Pam Burrow and Tracy Burrow, all of Malden; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at noon, today, Tuesday, May 25, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Bro. Richard O'Neal officiating.
Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery at Caruth, Mo.
