Vivan Butone Houseman, daughter of the late Leroy and Floradle McGuire Matheny, was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Clarkton, Mo., and passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at her residence in Cardwell, Mo., at the age of 72.
On June 28, 1956, in Piggott, Ark., she married Ralph Houseman.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Houseman, of Cardwell; four sons, Ricky Goss, of Louisiana, Ronald Houseman and wife, Bonnie, of Paragould, Ark., and Wayne Houseman and wife, Debra, and Kenny Houseman, all of Cardwell; two sisters, Anna Sue Followell, of Arbyrd, Mo., and Gertie Branch, of Senath, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Hunt, Paul McGuire and Ronald Gene McGuire, and two sisters, Quanita Gozell and Beulah McGuire.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 5, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 6, at the Greater Life United Pentecostal Church in Arbyrd with Rev. Vernon Purser officiating.
Burial will follow in the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers are Matthew Houseman, Allen Houseman, Pad Sessums, Brandon Sessums, Kyle Moore, Shon Fleetwood and Johnny Lodrigue.
