James Workman Sweatt, son of the late Edward D. and Mary Christine Williams Sweatt, was born Aug. 9, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn., and passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010, at his residence in Senath, Mo., at the age of 59.
On June 5, 1970, in Memphis, he married Frances Earlene Hamblin.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Earlene Sweatt, of Senath; three daughters, Tanya Wheeler and husband Norman, Terry Sweatt Tipton, and Lesslie Cox and husband Jonathan, all of Senath; six grandchildren, Kyle Mabry, Christian and Destany Graves, Alex and William Cox, and Corey Allred, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Sweatt.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, May 6, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 6, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Denny Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Cox, Rick Bibbs, Joey Crawford, Norma Wheeler, Kyle Mabry and Lance Mabry.
