Charles Wayne Palmer, son of the late Laudie and Bessie Davenport Palmer, was born March 25, 1932, in Senath, Mo., and passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, at Heritage Gardens of Senath, at the age of 78.

On March 9, 1988, in Marquand, Mo., he married Dorothy Leadbetter.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Palmer, of Senath; one son, Charles Wayne Palmer, Jr., and wife, Marie, of Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Lisa Annette Blanton and husband, Jim, of Flint, Teresa Maxwell, of Hornersville, Mo., and Rita Kral and husband, Tony, of Yorktown, Va.; a special brother-in-law, George Earl Leadbetter, of Mayfield, Ky.; a special friend, Claudie Burns, of Hornersville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; a brother, Sherwin Palmer, and a grandson, Mitchell Maxwell;

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, April 29, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 30, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Don Wallace, Jackie Gattis, Kim Palmer, Scottie Jackson, Chuck Henson, and Tim Dinkins.
