Survivors include two brothers, James Allen Pruett, of Kennett, and Byron Kent Pruett of Kennett; one sister, Cindy Pruett Henderson, of Kennett; one step-daughter, Rachel Ann Mead, of Kennett; his former wife, Sherrye Lea Smith Pruett, of Senath, Mo.; a special cousin, Kathy Ray Keith, of Hot Springs, Ark.; special friends, Diane Risner and Cookie Harris; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Oney was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ann Pruett and a niece, Lndsey Michelle Pruett.
Oney served in the United States Air Force. He was a clerk in the Army Corp of Engineers, serving two tours of duty in Iraq.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 8, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are James Allen Pruett, Byron Kent Pruett, William Kent Pruett, Christian Abbott, William T. Reid and David F. Henderson.
