William "Bill" Gage, son of the late Elbert Cleveland Gage and Pearl Mae (Martin) Gage was born July 25, 1921 in Datto,
Ark., and departed this life on March 26, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Bill married Ethel Martin who preceded him in death on July 21, 1993, Bill later married Opal Leslie.
Survivors include, his wife, Opal Gage of Kennett, Mo., two sons, Bill Gage and his wife Jaci of Greenbrier, Ark., Terry Gage and his wife Marilyn, of Harrison, Ark., one daughter, Betty Brumley and her husband, Joe of Kennett, Mo., ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren an one great great-grandchild, one brother, Troy Gage of Neosho, Missouri; one sister, Virginia Gage Hill of Poplar Bluff, Mo., two step-sons, Gene Willett of Kennett, Bill Leslie of Clarkton, Mo., two step-daughters, Ann Burke of Fenton, Mo., Cathy Strange of Lonedell, Mo., and other relatives and many friends.
Bill was preceded in death by five brothers: Jim, Junior, Monroe, Dan and James Newton Gage, and a step-son: Farron Leslie.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, with Services being held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 10 a.m., at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Don Emery officiating.
Burial will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.
Pallbearers include Fred Martin, Harley Thompson, Bill Gage, Scott Baker, Jerry Gage and Mark
Nolan. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett in charge of the arrangements.
