Clifton Lee Anthony, Sr., 71, of Kennett, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at his residence.
Born April 4, 1938, in Hughes, Ark., son of the late A.G. and Judy Vanzan Anthony, he was a farmer.
He married Beatrice Anthony.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Anthony, of Kennett; four sons, Calvin Anthony, Clifton Anthony, Jr., and Steven Anthony, all of Kennett, and Terry Anthony, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; seven daughters, Debra Covington, Cara Anthony, Doris Anthony-Lane, and Joyce Anthony, all of Kennett, Pearleatha Parker and Tonya Anthony, both of Cape Girardeau, and Donyel Anthony, of Jonesboro, Ark.; one brother, Joe Anthony, of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Ophelia Davenport, of Little Rock, Ark., Elnora Wright and Earnstine Stewart, both of Forrest City, Ark., and Dollie Pearson, of Pottstown, Pa.; one son-in-law, Jerry Hodges, of Kennett; 54 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Earl Anthony; one daughter, Brenda Rodgers; two brothers, A.G. Anthony, Jr., and L.C. Anthony; two sisters, Rose Hoskins and Hattie Anthony, and one granddaughter, Demetria Rodgers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., today, Thursday, March 25, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop D.L. Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Jerry Hodges, Henry Joe Thomas, Clifton Anthony, Jr., Tyler Williams, Terry and Stevie Anthony, and James Childress.
