Dortha Lee Gage, daughter of the late Ira McNew and Zettie Warren McNew, was born Dec. 13, 1926 in Senath, Mo., and departed this life Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 13 days.
Dortha was married to the late Joe Wayne Moore and later married Charles Monroe Gage on Sept. 1, 1982. Charles preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita Newman; a granddaughter, Keri Rene Moore; a brother, Billy McNew and a sister, Ilene Sisom.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Moore, of Kennett, Gary and Linda Moore, of Wappapello, Mo., Bobby and Debbie Moore, of Somerville, Tenn., and David and Dinah Moore, of Whiteville, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one son-in-law: Harold Newman, of Lonoke, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carolyn Caraway officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Carl Kime, Tom Beaver, Jerry Bridges, Johnny Aldridge, Charlie Gray, Danny Langston and Sammy Crawford.
