Shirley Wyatt, daughter of the late Oval Martin and Elsie Richey Martin was born Oct. 5, 1937 in Gideon, Mo., and departed this life Monday, March 1, 2010 at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 24 days.
Shirley married Bill O. Wyatt on June 6,1959.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bill O. Wyatt, of Kennett; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Christy Wyatt, of Paragould, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Phillip Miles, of Paragould; four grandsons, Zachary Pierce and his wife, Susan, of Paragould, Jacob Pierce, of Paragould, Chris Wyatt, of Atlanta, Ga., and Tyler Wyatt, of Abilene, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Katherine Pierce, of Paragould; one sister and brother-in-law, Nelda and Mike Tandy, of Glen Rose, Texas, and other relatives and many friends
Shirley was retired from Southland Schools as a secretary, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Senath, Mo. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Bill Wyatt, Phillip Miles, David Wyatt, Chris Wyatt, Zachary Pierce and Jacob Pierce.
