James WylieJames John Henry Wylie, son of the late William A. Wylie and Jossie Hallman Wylie was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Bear Creek, Ala., and departed this life Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Searcy, Ark., at the age of 84 years, four months and one day. He was formerly of Kennett, and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during WWII

Henry married Wilma Dean McKuin Sept. 30, 1944. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1994. He was also preceded in death by a grandchild; two brothers, Arlie and Billy Wylie, and three sisters, Flora Horton, Mary Wylie and Cloe Haddock.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Allen Wylie, of Piggott, Ark., Randy James Wylie, of Searcy, and Kyle Alexander Wylie, of Russellville, Ark.; one daughter, Vickie Annette Corum, of Ava, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arvo Wylie, of Tipton, Ind., and Eugene Wylie, of Grand Blanc, Mich.; four sisters, Faye Odell, of Flint, Mich., Flossie Presley, of Malden, Mo., Lois Lipsey, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Wanda Symons, of Chapel Hill, Tenn., and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Corum officiating.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Michael Michener, James Allen Wylie, David Wylie, Jimmy McKuin, Larry McKuin and Drew Hanners.
