But, during the Q & A portion of the event, Palin herself was spotted peeking at notes written on the palm of her hand... Does it matter? Does it effect how many lumps of sugar the public will drop into Palin's cup if she did, in fact, challenge Obama in the 2012 presidential race?

Granted, Ms. Palin may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I just don't get the hatred and vitriol directed toward her by the lefties in this world. I seem to remember, during the 2008 presidential campaign, all the derision heaped on Palin, mostly by left-leaning media outlets, because of her supposed "inexperience". At the same time, these same geniuses were ignoring the total lack of experience of Barry Sotero, the Kenyan poseur on the Democrat ticket.
We have now had over a year to witness the results of putting an inexperienced, totally lost, confused, and dimwitted ideologue in the nation's highest office. The media still choose to ignore the train wreck that is the Obama administration.
Speaking of stupid, did anyone else see the Obamessiah mispronounce "corpsman" at the National Prayer Breakfast? He said "corpseman", not once, but at least three times. I suppose, in Obama's world, he is the commander-in-chief of the Marine Corpse. Had it been Palin or George Bush making such a stupid misstep, they would have had to leave the public square in shame. The comedian Dennis Miller had the best take on Sarah Palin by stating "Sarah Palin is as smart as Sarah Palin needs to be". He also went on to say "Just once I would love to have a president that was an average person". I agree with that & would add that have you noticed that most all elected polictions have masters degree or higher but seem to lack any common sense

I listen to her over and over again but all I hear is negativity and hatred. Anytime she is asked for specifics she claims she is being attacked. She is quick to put down everyone's policies but she only has general statements that you can tell she has memorized. EVERY politian has tough questions thrown at them the good ones are ready for them.So hows that Mavericky thing going after she got stomped by a "know nothing terrorist"? At least she did finally recognize the fact that Obama taught constitutional law at Harvard.
Her husband was an active member of a political party that has a platform of ceceding from the United States and she participated in their convention also. That was the first turn off to me. She talks about real Americans in the lower 48 states. Pulling a star off the flag isn't very American to me. Sorry.

People are amazing when it comes to politicans and politcal parties. A few good politicans do exist , they are just hard to find.
Some of today's politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits/benefits of their offices. Political offices are for sale (ex. Illinois), canidates tour, make promises, and earn huge sums of money until it's time to retire or run again.
Will America ever find enough leaders to serve the people instead of America serving them? Will anything help us to elect someone that has good common sense? Someone that can make good decisions, that's not obligated to every lobbyist group that's looking for a payback, democrat or republican.

If we every find a presidential canidate that has impeccable character, has good common sense, and can't be bought, well, it's obvious he will not get elected because greed and power will not be at the top of his ambitions or his party. There is a major difference between someone glancing at a list of key topics to ensure coverage of all the major points, and someone reading word-for word from a teleprompter. Almost anyone can read. Either Sarah can remember almost everything her scriptwriters write, or she has somewhat to say on her own. Either way, is that bad?

The Obamessiah administration is faced with a very fragile economy, the daily blustering and threats from the Iranian mullahs, the very real threat that Israel might soon wipe Tehran off the map, cause unimaginable havoc in the region, and $400 per barrel oil, a quagmire in Afghanistan, unsurmountable debt to the Red Chinese, a congress in gridlock, and Barry's domestic political agenda in tatters.

I'm not a big Obama fan but I do look at issues realistically.I know why most of you do like him. Obama did get credit card reform through, all of you ignored that, when was the last time an American was killed in Iraq? Obama's ppolicies stopped that, all you people ignore that. The only reason Bush's budget didn't look as big was becaus he didn't put any of the wars in them. His deficit was only 50B less. Clinton actually had a surplus that Bush took care of real quick. Everything on here that is against Obamam are generalized statements. So either you people don't know anything about actual issues or you just parrot fears and anger from talking heads like Rush and Palin who have no independant thought process. What is Palin's stand on Iran? Do you know? All you know is she says Obama"s is wrong. He has a missile shield in place around them, did you know that? The only other thing to do is invade them. When Palin was Governor of Alaska she put a surcharge on oil running through Alaska, that price was then added to you at the pump. Then distributed the money to everyone in Alaska (during election season). That sound extrememly socialist to me, as a matter of fact IT IS socialist. If you want to wave pom poms with not consideration for truth or facts go ahead. But you look kind of ignorant defending someone that only gives general statements, takes no follow up questions and is quick to demonize anyone that can't further her political career.

The FACT is that the oil surcharge is the most SOCIALIST program in America and Palin perpetuated it, she did not remove it. Now if she goes around acting like socialism is an insult why didn't she end the socialist policies of the state SHE ran? She has all of you fooled. All somebody has to do is wave a flag and call people socialist or communist and all you people fall right in line. She also bragged about cutting property taxes when she was mayor, but didn't mention that she raised the sales tax and actual tax revenue increased 400%. Thats cutting taxes? Only for companies, the tax burden was put entirely on the people.

Bush 1 1.4 trillion
Clinton both terms 1.6 trillion with a surplus in his last administration.
Bush 2 4.36 trillion with 1.37 trillion his last budget.
Obamaa's first budget 1.38 trillion.
Now how is that FOUR times as much as Bush's? See you don't look at facts you just parrot stuff you hear on TV. The fact is that 80% of the entire National debt comes from Republican Presidents but they insist that Democrats are the big spenders.

Southern Man, surely you are not trying to mislead us by not posting the amount of the defecit under Obama's budget are you? Come on now surely you aren't ashamed to post your guys numbers are you?
Sarah has a number of good philosophy's about what should be done about our economy and maintaining our position as a world power. That being said, I haven't heard any concrete ideas or solutions from her. Presidential Material??? Well she has charisma but it takes more than charisma to solve our issues. In the final analysis, it is the team that surrounds the President that makes things happen. What we need is a no nonsense President that brings solutions to the table and demands flawless execution from those who are tasked to execute the plan.
The numbers I put down came from the Government Accounting Office which all branches of government accept. See, since 1923 it has been the responsibilty of the President to offer the Congress a budget for the next fiscal year. Thats all, offer one, then sign into law if he chooses so what comes back to his desk.
What is misleading is when a President purposely omits things like paying for a war in Iraq and Afgahnistan from his budget, produces one set of numbers, then Congress has to appropriate addition money for the cost. So you have a budget that has one defecit but at the end of the year has an actual defecit much higher than when the budget was proposed.
Again I'm not a big Obama supporter but at least he included the wartime expenditures in his budget so it is a more accurate budget. Now if you don't approve of what is it thats fine, talk to your Congressman. But it is not as misleading as the last 8 budgets presented to Congress.

What was on her hand? Was it economic policy, international issues? No "Uplift American spirits" Like who outside of a complete moron would have to write that down to remember it? "Cut taxes" Yeah what Republican could ever remember that statement when they are talking to possibly campaign contributers. "Energy" another highly compicated topic to remember. Like she was quoted saying after she sneaked a peek at her hand " We need to start going on the new energy stuff" Thats it, thats all, no other specifics. I certainly agree that Palin is not a reasonable choice for the Republican Presidential Candidate. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. That people get behind her at all shows, at least to me, that they find almost anybody preferable to Obama. Let's see if we can bring Colin Powell out. America desperately needs someone in the Oval Office that knows what he or she is doing.
