Alex "Buggy" McKinney, Jr., 75, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Aug. 22, 1934, in Delta, Ark., son of the late Alexander and Reather Genes McKinney, he worked for Monroe for many years, and after retiring he worked at the Kennett Nutrition Center. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church where the Rev. Mitchael Chandler is pastor, and was member of the Masonic Lodge #41.
Survivors include four brothers, Tim McKinney and wife, Jeanette, Jethro McKinney and wife, Loutella, and Jewell McKinney and wife, Gena, all of Kennett, and Edward McKinney, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Geneva Howard and husband, Ben, of Alton, Ill., and Zuella Muse, of Benton Harbor, Mich., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time, Saturday, Feb. 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Limmie D. Pulliam officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Clearance Pulliam, Charles McCrackin, Carl Roland, Joe Rogers, Terry Wheeler and Melvin Deberry.
Honorary pallbearers are Jewell McKinney, Jethro McKinney, Edward McKinney, Timothy McKinney, Stacy Smith, Oscar Willoughby, Ben Howard, Billy Alford, Odell Harrell and Anthony White.
