Mary Bell Holligan, daughter of the late E.R. and Mary Noonon, was born January 1
1924, in Senath, Missouri and passed away at her residence in Senath at the age of 86.
On June 29, 1946, in Hernando, Mississippi, she married Carlos Halligan who was her
faithful companion for 59 years at his passing.
She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church for more than 50 years until her health prevented her attendance.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt until the end;
always willing to help family, friends and neighbors if in need. She was a life long
resident of Senath except during World War II, when she lived and worked in Michigan,helping to further the cause of the war by working in an airplanc manufacturing plant.
She loved God, family and her Country.
She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Brittingham of Senath, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mary Beckman and husband, John, of Atoka, Tennessee, and Susan Wells of Atoka; five great-grandchildren, Ian Wells, Samuel Messenger, Anna Mae Beckman, Joshua Beckman and Louis Beckman; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband Carlos Holligan, 4 sisters: Pauline Glasgow,
Madge Battles, Eleven Waters, Katherine Gholson, and two brothers, Jim Noonon and an infant brother, Courtney.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath with Rev. Clark officiating.
Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Price Gholson, Ken Fowkes, Keith Fokes, Kevin Fokes, John Beckman, Samuel Messenger, Perry Sample and Tony Shultz.
McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath is in charge of the arrangements.
