Harold Lewis 'Fudge' Wright

Harold Lewis "Fudge" Wright, 75, of Campbell died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at his residence in Campbell.

Mr. Wright was born on May 19, 1934, in Holcomb to the late Guy and Goldie Marie (Bolin) Wright.

He was a member of the South Canaan General Baptist Church in Gibson. He was a retired business owner, farmer and self-employed truck driver. He served as a military policeman in the United States Army. He was a board member for Holcomb Township and was an avid gardener.

One Dec. 31, 1955, he married Glendola Higginbotham in Hernando, Miss. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Lori Wright, Cindy Hays and husband, Stanley, all of Campbell, and Sherri Vancil and husband, Mike, of Piggott, Ark.; two grandsons, Justin Paul Hays and Nicholas Guy Hays of Campbell; two brothers, Delbert Wright of Kennett and Winford Wright of Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Floyd Wright, Sr. and Earl Wright.

Visitation will begin from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Devon Black officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorias may be made to VNA Hospice in Sikeston or South Canaan General Baptist Church in Gibson.
