Jewell Carter, daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Slayden McClish, was born May 15, 1945, in Algora, Ark., and passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 64.
She married Willard Carter, who preceded in death. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Carter and Rita Carter, and two brothers, Curtis "Peanut" McClish and Floyd McClish.
Survivors include three sons, Carlos Carter and wife, Patricia, of Center, Ky., Robert Carter, of Cardwell, Mo., and Tim McClish and wife, Sheila, of Paragould, Ark.; one brother, Walter McClish, Jr., and wife, Katie, of Senath, Mo.; one sister, Mary Fay Johnson and husband, Alvin, of Cardwell; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, Jan. 21, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 22, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Dunigan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bill Rice, Danny Joe Bishop, Kenny Wycoff, David Chase, Donnie Wycoff, Ricky McClish and Mark Davidson.
