Richard was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two daughters, Glynis Ward, of Columbia, Mo., and Shannon Mungle, of Arbyrd, Mo.; five grandchildren, Tiffany Myers, of Arbyrd, Marissa Comer of Mexico, Mo., and Lori Smith, Leo Ward, and Ashley Puckett, all of Columbia, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Abby Muse, of Columbia; three brothers, Ernest Tivis Mungle, of Jonesboro, Ark., Larry Wayne Mungle, of Kennett, and Dennis Ray Mungle, of Holcomb, Mo.; four sisters, Sylvia Paulette Mungle, of Kennett, Verna Mae Horton, of Rector, Ark., Linda Sue Dobbs, of Gladstone, Mo., and Sherry Kay Clements, of Kennett, and other relatives and many friends.
Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Carroll Mungle and a sister, Shirley Ann Mungle.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Jan. 20, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with service being held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 21, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Brian Shearer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are David Goodrich, Chris Goodrich, Chris Hill, Jeff Muse, David Smith and Jason Horton.
