Billy Joe Brown

Billy Joe Brown, 80, of Kennett died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett. He was retired from the Air Force and was a retired machine operator for General Motors in Flint, Mich.

Born in Gibson on May 3, 1929, he was the son of the late James L. and Belle (Northington) Brown.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by two sisters, Muriel Abernathy and Maxine Hardin; and three brothers, James Gilbert Brown, Gary Butch Brown and Eugene Brown.

Survivors include one brother, Jimmie Brown of Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with James Powell officiating. Landess Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
