Mildred Duke

Mildred V. Duke, daughter of the late Orbon Glasgow and Emiline Hinkle Glasgow, was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Corning, Ark., and departed this life Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 18 days.

Mildred married J.B. Duke on July 27, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. J.B. preceded her in death. Mildred was also preceded in death by six brothers; two sisters and a great- great-grandson.

Survivors include three sons J.B. Duke, Jr. and wife, Michelle, of West Plains, Mo., Glen Duke and wife, Heather, of West Plains, and Orbon Duke of Kennett; three daughters, Virginia Payne, of Kennett, Lorna Stuart, of Bakersfield, Mo., and Rhonda Wycoff and husband, Kenny, of Paragould, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ira Glasgow, of Corning; three sisters, Ivory Earlene Duke, of Moody, Mo., Delores Curtright, of Techumsch, Mo., and Charlene Putman, of Oklahoma, and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with services being held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Pallbearers are Kyle Duke, Jarred Duke, Anthony Duke, Cody Duke, Glen Wycoff and Jonathan Payne.
