Irene Hufford

Irene Hufford, daughter of the late Tom and Lottie Karnes Nicklson, was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Hollywood, Mo., and passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 82.

She married Mason Hufford on May 20, 1946, in Paragould, Ark.

Survivors include her husband, Mason Hufford, of Senath, Mo.; three daughters, Rulah Rockwell, of Senath, Gayla Jones and husband, Ralph, of Eolia, Mo., and Vicky Delaney and husband, Bruce, of Paragould; one sister, Lorene Coleman, of Senath; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Hufford; five brothers, George "Bud", J.W. "Pete", Tommy, Alford and Franklin Nicklson, and four sisters, Parthena Nicklson, Marie Nicklson, Rose Maness and Maryene Briscoe.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Tim Dinkins, Ray, Gary, Donald, Steve and David Briscoe.
