Lydia Ann Stricklin, daughter of the late Charles "Edgar" Boswell and Dorothy Presley-Boswell, was born April 21, 1932 in Kennett, and departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at the age of 77 years.
On Feb. 16, 1962, he she married William Eugene "Gene" Stricklin, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 2009.
Survivors include a son, Randy Glover and wife, Janet, of Cherryville, Mo.; two daughters, Cindy Sinnott and husband, Roger, of Wildwood, Mo., and Marcia Stricklin, of Desoto, Mo.; six grandsons, Brad, Brian, Chad, Larry, Kevin and Brandon; one great granddaughter, Brooke, and several nieces and nephews.
Ann worked for several years at Good Samaritan Nursing home in South St. Louis as a dedicated nurse's aide, and was loved by all of her patients.
Ann loved to cook, read and spend time with her family. In their early years, she and her husband were members of the United Church of Christ in Lemay, Mo.
She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
As Ann struggled with Alzheimer's disease over the last few years, she always knew when Gene was with her. Ann and Gene had 47 beautiful years of marriage and now they rest in peace together.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with service being held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 20, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Ark.
