Dennis Hardin

Dennis Rodney Hardin, son of the late Eddie Sheppard and Maxine Shearer Sheppard, was born Jan. 6,1954 in Kennett, and departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Dennis married Nancy Gurlen on July 2, 1977 in Marion, Ark..

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hardin, of Kennett; one son, Dennis Bridges and wife, Jodi, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one daughter, Samantha Hardin, of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Shepard and wife, Terri, of St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters, Karen Cook and husband, Joe, of Grand Blanc, Mich., Cheryl Shelton and husband, Bob, of Clio, Mich., Karla Puckett and husband, Ken, of St. Louis, Brenda Ellis, of Kennett, and Edie Seats and husband, Gary, of Kennett, and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with services being held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
