He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and a member of the New Covenant Church.
Jerry married Linda Moore Scott on Nov. 25, 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Ivy, of Kennett; two sons, Scott Ivy and wife, Kim, of Kennett, and Kevin Scott and wife, Penny, of Kennett; four daughters, Lisa Tucker and husband, Kyle, of Kennett, Toni Grills, of Kennett, Sherry Landis and husband, Dean, and Shelly Stevens and husband, Larry, all of Judsonia, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, Morgan and Ivy Brooks and Layne Ivy, of Kennett, Cheyenne and Cody Ivy, of Holcomb, Sarah Swindle, of Kennett, Ciara Scott, of Paragould, Ark., Deklan Stevens, of Judsonia, Tiffany and Scotty Lawrence, of Judsonia, Missy Gattis, of Kennett and Kevin Grills, of Paragould; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Ivy, of Kennett; one sister, Annette Wyatt, of Kennett; special friend, Bailey, and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Ivy, and a sister, Carol Middleton.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 16, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, with Revs. Bob Taylor and Johnny Bogle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville, Mo.
Pallbearers are Mike Brooks, John Higgins, Bart Carter, John Rodgers, Tony Von Ruden and Jerry Henfling.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Trowbridge, Wayne Nixon, Gary French and Greg Crossno.
