Pauline Contino

Pauline "Polly" Barham Contino, 82, of Lemoyne, Penn., formerly of York, Florida, and Kennett and Malden Mo., passed peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009.

She was the wife of John L. Contino, with whom she celebrated their 65th anniversary on the 16th of September. She was one of 10 children born to Russell and Ethel Barham in Kennett, on Aug. 16, 1927. Polly was a homemaker most of her life, also owning, working, and managing two jewelry stores, (One, Polly's Jewelry in Malden in the 50's) with her husband. Polly was an avid golfer.

Surviving family members are her husband, John, residing in Lemoyne; daughter, Georgianna McArthur, of Lemoyne; son, R. John Contino, of Edgewater, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Kathy Contino, of Edgewater, Fla.; son-in-law, Duncan D. McArthur, II, of Lemoyne; sisters, Jo Crawford, of Burbank, Calif., and Barbara Cook, of Ocean Ridge, Fla.; brothers, Charles Barham, of Belen, N.M., William Barham, of Dallastown, and John Barham, of Harvest, Ala.; three granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and three great-grandsons.

Polly was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery; brothers, Russell and Hugh Barham, and sisters, Peggy Mason and Virginia Sharp.

John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., was in charge of arrangements.
