I don't know how to begin thanking you and all your staff for all of the work that you did in bringing the Army Field Band to Kennett. I know that it would have been impossible for this event to have been the huge success that it was, without you and the Daily Dunklin Democrat. Mr. Astrachan and I know that you provided thousands of dollars worth of advertising which reached hundreds, if not thousands of people.
I traveled the following night to Dyersburg to hear the band on Friday. Although they had about eight hundred people at their concert, which was good, I felt even better about our concert attendance. Please be sure to also thank your staff members, George and Deanna for all of their work in writing stories and the pictures as well.
Finally I want to tell you what a thrill it was for our band members to get the chance to participate with such a group. I'm sure that it will be a memory that they soon won't forget. I have lived in this area for over 30 years, but only worked for the Kennett School District for the past eight. In those eight years, I have noticed that this town is a very kind and giving community. I must say that I am so proud of you, the Daily Dunklin Democrat, and this community and looking forward to help serving in the future.
Sincerely,
Tom Ryan
