Johnny Vandiver, 59, of Kennett, formerly of Hornersville, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at Kennett.
Born Dec. 2, 1949, in Hornersville, he was the son of the late John F. Vandiver and Mattie B. Ingrum Vandiver.
Survivors include one son, Jason Odell Vandiver and his wife, Heather, of Gideon, Mo.; one brother, Danny F. Vandiver, of Arnold, Mo.; one sister, Rose Marie Pruitt and her husband, Ken Ray Pruitt, Sr., of Arnold; nephews, Kenneth Ray Pruitt, Jr. and wife, Corrine, of Plymouth, Minn., Mark Vandiver and his wife, Kim, and children Zacharey and Phoebe, of Arnold, and John P. Vandiver and children Austin and Kaycee, of High Ridge, Mo.; Uncle Cletus and Aunt Dorthy Covington, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and many other family members and special friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with service being held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 13 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will follow in Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Brown, Joe Mel Hinesly, Doyle Laws, Donnie Airsman, Jackie Taylor and William Brown.
Honorary pallbearer is Bill Springer.
