Dewrock leads All-Bootheel team

Kennett senior Ciara Dewrock was named the Bootheel Conference's Player of the Year in volleyball on the league's all-conference team.

Dewrock earned the honor as she helped the Lady Tribe repeat as conference tournament champions and also helped Kennett win at least a share of the Bootheel Conference's regular season title for the third year in a row.

She is joined on the first team by teammates Taylor Wake and Audrewy Wynne.

Also making the first team are Shelby Booker, Marquita Brodie and Samantha Davidson from South Pemiscot, the Senath-Hornersville duo of Jami Jackson and Megan Smith, plus Jessica Treece of Caruthersville, Malden's Starr Wright, Latavia Harris from Portageville and Kendria Gilmer from Hayti.

Laura Ort of Kennett was named as the league's Coach of the Year.
