Dovie Ridings

Dovie Ridings, daughter of the late Jess and Hassie Edwards Goldsmith, was born June 30, 1927, in Senath, Mo., and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at National HealthCare in Kennett, at the age of 82 years.

She married J.R. Ridings, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and Tony Ridings; three brothers, Jess Goldsmith, Phillip Goldsmith and Larry Goldsmith, and two sisters, Martha Wardlow and Frieda Crossno.

Survivors include three sons, Sonny Ridings, of Kennett and Randall Ridings and Eddie Ridings, both of Senath.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov., 6, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.

Graveside services will be held at noon, Friday, Nov. 6, in the Senath Cemetery with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
