Rev. and Mrs. Jeff Hemingway of Paris, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lynn Hemingway, to Jordan Neal Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel Smith of Senath, Mo.

The bride to be is a 2003 graduate of Henry County High School in Paris, Tenn., and a 2008 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is currently employed as an admissions counselor with Murray State University in Murray, Ky.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Carl of Wilsey, Kan., and Ms. Marilyn Hemingway and the late Richard Hemingway of Derby, Kan.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Senath-Hornersville High School and a 2008 graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Ky., with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Relations. He is currently employed as an admissions counselor at Murray State University.

He is the grandson of Syble Palmer and the late Lowell Palmer of Senath, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Smith of Senath.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 21, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murray, Ky.
