Matt Nipper and Ashley Burgess of Cardwell, Mo. announce the birth of their son, Drake Steven Lee Nipper, born Oct. 13, 2009 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

He weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 19-inches-long.

He is the grandson of Darlene Nipper and the late Jimmy Nipper and Mark and Lori Burgess, all of Cardwell.
