Amanda Kennedy

Amanda Shonta Kennedy, of Campbell, Mo., daughter of Robert Kennedy and Angela Skaggs Venters, was born May 29, 1987 in Dallas, Texas and departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Holcomb, Mo., at the age of 22 years, 4 months and 25 days.

She was a 2005 graduate of Holcomb High School and a student at Dyersburg Community College.

Survivors include her father, Robert Kennedy, of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Angela Venters, of Campbell; one daughter, Kaitlyn Kennedy, of Holcomb; one sister, Amber Mills, of Campbell; her step-father, Jessie Shore III, of Piggott, Ark.; grandparents, Bill and Roberta Skaggs, of Gibson, Mo., who raised Amanda; Uncle BB, of Gibson; Aunt GG, of Bragg City, Mo.; Uncle Jamie Miller, of Dallas, Texas, and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Phillip Bartholomew officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn-Landess Cemetery at Campbell.

Pallbearers were Corey, Jerry, Stacy, Johnny Skaggs, Ricky Burkman and Marty Samples.
