The Kennett Board of Education held a special closed session meeting on Wednesday afternoon to discuss filling the superintendent position after current superintendent, Jerry Noble, resigns at the end of the current academic year.

According to Noble, the board decided to try to fill the position from within the district first, before seeking outside applicants.

Noble said the board has requested that anyone interested in the position submit a letter to the board by 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 13. Interviews will then be scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Noble officially announced his pending resignation during the executive session portion of the Tuesday, Oct. 20, board meeting.

Noble said he has enjoyed his five years with the Kennett School District, adding that it has been both challenging and rewarding.

" . . . challenging and rewarding." But not rewarding enough!

Hey Jr. Samples....doubt it has anything to with being rewarding. Being the Superintendent at Kennett was/is a dead end job, especially when Noble came in. Kennett was close to financial ruin with the shoddy leadership they had before. He did a great job. I am sure it is just time to retire and relax from such a crummy job.

The big problem with anything Kennett is the influence of all the millionaires who live there.
