Eddie Smith

Eddie Smith, son of the late Owen Smith and Helen Webb Smith, was born Feb. 26, 1936 in Kennett and departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at the age of 73.

Eddie married Sharon Kay Easley in June 1967.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Smith, of Kennett; two sons, Brian Smith, of Kennett and Larry Smith, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Anita Burton, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Smith, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Letha Blount, and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death a son, Mark Smith; one brother, Terry Smith and a sister, Kathy Beck.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
