Hubert Blankenship, Jr.

Hubert Blankenship, Jr. of Kennett, son of the late Hubert Blankenship and Norma Darnell Blankenship, was born March 10, 1940 in Caruthersville, Mo., and departed this life on Oct. 25, 2009 at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 15 days, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Hubert married Carolyn Jenkins on July 4, 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Blankenship, of Kennett; one son, Randy Blankenship and his wife, Becky, of Kennett; one daughter, Angela Braswell, of Truman, Ark.; five grandchildren, Randy Blankenship, Dustin Patterson, James Braswell, Summer Henfling and Jamie Braswell; two great-grandchildren, Marleigh Clark and Lynnley Kay Patterson; one brother, Jack Blankenship, of Kennett; one sister, Virginia Bradshaw and husband, Vernell, of Piggott, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with service being held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Dustin Patterson, Randy Blankenship, Brian Potter, James Braswell, Terry Clouse and Jamie Potter.
