Carl Ethridge

Carl Wayne Ethridge, son of the late Ed Emerson Ethridge and Emma Baugher Ethridge, was born Sept. 4, 1934 in Blytheville, Ark., and departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at the age of 75.

Survivors include, one daughter, Karen Collins, of San Diego, Calif.; step-daughters, Bobbi Thomson, of Oregon, Susan Garcia, of San Diego, Calif., and Julie Kursave, of San Diego, Calif.; aunt, Betty Nelson, of Kennett; cousins, Charlotte Marshall, Jerris Raines, Dennis Nelson, Fred Ethridge, and Patsy Walls; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Linda Bennett and a step-brother, Larry Bodkins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in San Diego, Calif.

Carl was retired from the U.S. Navy.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett, Missouri was in charge of the arrangements.
