June Monahan

June Wilder Boyd Monahan, daughter of the late Lloyd Wilder and Lillie Brown Wilder, was born March 28, 1920 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 12 days.

June married Emmett Boyd who preceded her in death. Later she married Robert Monahan who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Alan Boyd; one brother, Lloyd Brown Wilder and one sister, Freda Saracini.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Boyd, of Osage Beach, Mo., and Bill Boyd, of Kennett; step-daughter, Carol Buck and her husband, Joe, of Blytheville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Erika Boyd, Chad Boyd and Lisa Boyd Jordan; five great-grandchildren, Drake Jordan, Hailey Jordon, Blake Loyd, Alyssa Boyd and Kaelyn Boyd, and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett with Rev. Ben Jordan officiating.

June was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett and of the Federated Garden Club of Kennett.

Pallbearers are Bruce Boyd, Bill Boyd, Chad Boyd, Greg Bradley, Doug Bradley and Joe Buck.
