An amended complaint was recently filed by Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney, Mike Hazel, on the charges against a Pascola, Mo., resident, in connection with the death of a two-year-old.

Matthew Dylon Taylor, recently charged with assault in the first degree for actions towards Lillian Fowler, 2, has now also been charged with murder in the second degree, following the death of Fowler, according to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department.

Fowler was airlifted to Lebonheur's Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, for injuries she received at a residence located North of Pascola. As a result of the injuries sustained, when Fowler was struck by Taylor on September 30, she was pronounced dead on October 15. Autopsy results revealed that Fowler died as a result of head trauma, the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department noted.

Fowler's mother, Joanie Fowler, 21, has also been charged in the case with endangering the welfare of a child.

Addition details regarding the charges against Taylor and Fowler will be published once the information is available.
