Arwood Smith

Arwood Leon Smith, son of the late C. B. "Brown" Smith and Virgie McManis Smith, was born May 24, 1921, in Bucoda, Mo., and departed this life on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at the age of 88 years.

On Jan. 1, 1940, in Cardwell, Mo., he married Martha Dowdy who preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 1997. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Smith; a son, Lonnie Ray Smith and a sister.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Smith of Kennett, Gary Smith of Kennett and Randy Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two 2 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, Sept. 30, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath Chapel with Rev. Chris Maynard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.
