Virginia Velma Haley, 85, of Maryland Heights, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born Jan. 27, 1924, in Holcomb, Mo., daughter of the late William Henry Miles and Stella Mae Whaley Miles, she was a homemaker and a member of Manchester United Methodist Church and before moving to St. Louis, she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kennett.
Survivors include two sons, Roggie Dale Haley, of Huntsville, Al., and Rick Lynn Haley, of St. Charles, Mo., and three grandchildren, Katie Haley, of Half Moon Bay, Calif., Adam Haley, of Yokohama, Japan, and Michael Haley, of St. Charles.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elton, L.C., Olan and Matthew Miles and four sisters, Billie, Betty, Verlean and Vivian Miles.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett with Rev. Gary Carter officiating.
Burial was in the Loyd Cemetery at Holcomb.
