Dorothy Ruth Bristow, 86, of Kennett, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Heritage Nursing Home in Kennett.
Born Feb. 4, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., daughter of the late Harrison and Clara Crites Doggett, she was a homemaker.
On Nov. 21, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, she married Wendell Bristow, who preceded her in death on June 20, 2008.
Survivors include one son, David Bristow, of Senath, Mo.; five daughters, Dorothy Ellen Curtis, of Rector, Ark., Nona Stone and Wanda Dearing, both of Kennett, Hazel Bristow, of St. Peters, Mo., and Lori Hunt, of Paragould, Ark.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., with Jody McFadden officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask for memorials be made to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
